We wish you a Merry Christmas!

A hangi, a few drinks and the usual round up of Christmas movies, very nice, relaxing and the weather was great, while the rest of New Zealand had awful rain, we basked in the sunshine.

Picton to Featherston

Well we got off the Picton ferry, raced out to Upper Hutt to stock up on food and drinks for Christmas and got out of Wellington as quick as we could.  The weather was awful so we headed down to Featherston and went out to the domain.  We ended up moving from the domain by the lake back into town as the wind was really bad and we also ran out of gas so needless to say because we would have been stuffed without LPG we headed to the Mobil station to fill up, while there the very helpful attendant pointed out that they had a MH Park in town which would give good shelter from the wind so that's were we are going to spend our Christmas.

Wellington to Picton

We stayed overnight at the Motorhome Park at the Ferry Terminal in Wellington, a bit pricey for the three of us but at least we didn't have to get up too early for the 8am sailing with Bluebridge, amazing discounts with the NZMCA membership, was only $215 so very pleased.
